University of Northampton
to deliver courses to
Superhouse

he University of Northampton’s
School of Science and Technology
and Institute for Creative Leather
Technologies recently welcomed
Mukhtarul Amin, managing director of
Indian
footwear,
leather
and
leathergoods manufacturer Superhouse
Group to Park Campus, where he signed
a memorandum of understanding with
the university.
Rachel Garwood, director of the
Institute
for
Creative
Leather
Technologies, explained that the
university will initially develop a series of
short course for Superhouse employees,
but she said this could lead to more in-
depth courses in the future, potentially to
certificate and degree level.
With nine factories for footwear,
two for leathergoods and four
tanneries, Superhouse has 15
manufacturing units and a presence
in more than 35 countries across the
world. It currently has more than
5,000 employees.
New agreement in
Indonesia for OrthoLite

manufacturer OrthoLite has
entered into a partnership agreement
with an Indonesian manufacturing
partner, Boo Young Company.
As a result of the agreement, Boo
Young will manufacture OrthoLite
insoles and ship them to footwear
